A stealthy startup named Touchbase emerged this week in Los Altos with $5 million in funding and Google research scientist Jan Matthias Ruhl on board as a director.
A stealthy Los Altos startup named Touchbase Inc. disclosed this week that it has raised $5 million with a Google inventor on board as a director.
The company led by President Amy Chang didn't disclose where the funds came from but said there are two investors.
In addition to Chang, the other directors listed were Devdutt Yellurkar of Charles River Ventures and Jan Matthias Ruhl, a research scientist at Google with a number of patents. See Yellurkar's LinkedIn profile here and see Ruhl's LinkedIn profile here.
The company wasn't immediately available when contacted for more information.
There is another company in the Bay Area called Touchbase that is apparently unrelated. That London-based communications technology specialist that has been in business for more than 20 years and has an office in San Francisco.
