Following in Facebook's footsteps, as Google usually does, the company has provided access to a Google+ commenting system for developers, which saw a bunch of implementations quickly after its availability.
One of the best such tools for WordPress is this plugin by Andrea Pernici, which works via a simple template tag.
The plugin doesn't require a Google API key and will seamlessly integrate a user feedback system, working even in parallel with the old WP-native commenting system if needed.
The advantage of the WordPress Google Plus Comments plugin is that it will take a huge load off the site and its database if implemented. This is because most queries will be handled on Google servers, while the site will only need to load the rest of the website.
But there's a bigger disadvantage, mainly because now the comments will be stored remotely, out of the webmaster's reach and moderation capabilities.
The plugin is available on the WordPress plugin repository, making it easier to install via WP's built-in plugin installation tool.
