LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- Apple Inc. /quotes/zigman/68270/quotes/nls/aapl AAPL -1.58% said late Sunday that hackers may have stolen some information on its software developers, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing a company statement. The cyber-attack took place Thursday, and while "sensitive" personal information was safe, "we have not been able to rule out the possibility that some developers' names, mailing addresses, and/or email addresses may have been accessed," the report quoted Apple as saying. The company said it took its developers' site down following the attack but didn't indicate how many developers may have been affected by the hacking, according to the report.
